Tabără de o zi, echitație pentru copii (5–8 ani) în Râșnov

"Summer in the Saddle" at Centrul de Echitație Diana

Are you looking for a nature-close, safe and educational one-day camp for children in the Râșnov – Brașov area? At Centrul de Echitație Diana (a family farm with 65+ years of tradition in animal care), we open the doors to the „Summer in the Saddle” program: a complete riding experience for children, with horseback riding, horse care, games and lunch included, all in small groups.

What the one-day camp includes (10:00-16:00)
  • Guided and interactive tour of the farm – safety rules explained in a way children understand
  • Horse care: brushing, familiarization with the space, notions about animal welfare
  • Feeding the animals with educational explanations
  • Horseback ride (20-25 minutes/child), accompanied by an instructor
  • Acting activities & team games for confidence and cooperation
  • Creative outdoor workshops
  • Q&A session: we answer all curiosities
  • Delicious lunch included – offered by Valea Merilor

📌 Small groups: 5-10 children • Age: 5-8 years • Minimum 5 children/day to run

  • Physical and postural development

The horse’s movement stimulates balance, coordination and posture. Even a short ride improves proprioception and body control.

  • Emotional regulation & confidence

Contact with the horses helps children manage their emotions, breathe consciously and gain courage through small, repeated successes.

  • Empathy and responsibility

Daily care (water, food, cleaning) develops patience, care for animals and a sense of responsibility.

  • Concentration and executive skills

The step-by-step routines train attention, working memory and planning, skills that are useful at school too.

  • Connecting with nature & time away from screens

A whole day outdoors means real movement, energy spent in a healthy way and better sleep.

  • Experienced instructors and calm horses, suitable for beginners
  • Protective equipment provided (helmet)
  • Rules explained clearly, practical demonstrations
  • Respect for the child’s pace and the horse’s welfare (breaks, water, food)
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10:00-16:00
